Job Description

As an Energy and HVAC Specialist, you play a key role in developing and ensuring sustainable, reliable, and cost-effective building technical systems within Region Östergötland's properties.

The role involves overall responsibility for energy and media issues, where you work with analyses, follow-ups, budgets, forecasts, and strategic development. Together with our HVAC Technical Developer, you share responsibility for building technical guidelines and follow up on our procured property operations within areas such as heating, cooling, ventilation, water/sewage, and sprinklers.

The assignment includes among other things:

• Develop and follow up guidelines for HVAC systems and energy solutions.
• Ensure that technical requirements and strategies are followed in construction and development projects.
• Follow up on property operations' deliveries within HVAC, energy, and media.
• Create energy goals and action plans to reduce energy consumption and achieve Region Östergötland's sustainability goals.
• Analyze energy statistics, create key figures, and budget and forecast media costs.
• Be a specialist support and contact person for energy and HVAC issues, both internally and externally.
• Contribute as an expert in procurements, investments, and development efforts.

You work closely with colleagues within Regionfastigheter, property economics, sustainability, operations, and construction projects. The role involves many contact surfaces and good opportunities to influence the development of our properties and technical systems.

Work Group

You will be part of a technical group with specialists in different disciplines. The assignment is carried out in close cooperation with several employees both within and outside the unit in Regionfastigheter because the position's assignment concerns both management, operations, and construction production.

About You

We would like you to have a university/college education with a focus on energy. The role requires good knowledge of HVAC and building technical systems with high installation density and system solutions, as well as their integration into the construction process. You have several years of experience working in the construction/property industry, have had time to develop your knowledge and experience, and feel secure in this area of work.

Experience in corporate economics and accounting competence related to the responsibility for the media budget is meritorious.

You have good data skills and very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

You are a person who enjoys communicating with others so that expectations are clear for all involved parties. You have good teamwork skills and the ability to create good relationships and trust among different stakeholders. Important for the position is that you take responsibility and initiative to start activities to achieve results. A structured and careful working method is a prerequisite, where you plan and prioritize work in an effective way. You have a broad perspective and think strategically, understand the long-term significance of things, and adapt your actions accordingly.
